Distyl builds custom workflows for enterprises leveraging generative AI, LLMs and a strategic alliance with OpenAI. As an early advisor, I established branding and messaging that helped secure a $7M seed round. I continuously provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to develop innovative AI solutions for their clients.

FOUNDING DESIGNER / DESIGN DIRECTOR
When I met Twist Bioscience founder Emily Leproust, I was captivated by their mission to revolutionize DNA synthesis. Joining as their first designer was an opportunity to bring strategic design leadership to elevate Twist in the biotech industry, which historically lagged behind tech in all areas of design.
I built Twist's design practice from the ground up, spanning brand, product, marketing and even their office interiors. My design leadership also shaped an innovative ecommerce platform for scientists and ultimately positioned Twist as a synthetic biology pioneer, supporting their successful IPO.

At Stubhub I led the vision and execution of their app redesign focused on personalized event discovery. I drove end-to-end design from prototyping through cross-functional collaboration & development hand-off, and designed predictive experiences like personalized homefeeds that increased engagement. To execute, I partnered with a 15+ person product team throughout design sprints. I'm especially proud to say I was chosen for a company-wide design initiative led by John Maeda to shape eBay's design practice and thinking.

My coolest project at eBay was to conceptualize an influencer-curated vintage marketplace called 'Connoisseur' to unearth ebay's hidden treasures. Later, I led UX for eBay's global navigation redesign, optimizing conversions. But from an impact perspective, my claim-to-fame is I designed their first real-time desktop notifications, still used today, and crafted a new favicon seen by millions.
